The SuperGlide is a new addition to K2's SuperModel line. This ski was developed for expert skiers who take on all the mountain has to offer, hard and soft snow alike. The skis versatility is credited to its All-Terrain Rocker profile and a lightweight design with an optimum waist width to tackle a variety of conditions and pitches.
Skier Style + AbilityAdvanced-Expert skiers who tend to spend their time 40% on groomed trails, and 60% on ungroomed off-piste areas.
Shape + FlexAll-Terrain Rocker provides an elevated tip for variable and soft snow conditions with camber under foot for power, stability, and strong edge hold in firmer conditions. When weighted this ski has 70% base contact with the snow making it super easy to maneuver no matter what obstacles come your way. When this ski is weighted on edge, 100% of the effective edge comes into contact with the snow for a solid edge hold.
Construction + CoreHybritech Sidewall construction is a unique blend of sidewall and cap construction. This combines the power and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight and smooth turn initiation of cap construction. MOD technology is used to absorb vibrations and impacts along the ski to create a stronger edge hold and a higher degree of control. MOD is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. MOD Monics are solid zinc weights that are used in conjunction with MOD technology to provide a mass-dampening function. Basically they work as shock absorbers to decreases vibrations in the ski and result in more stability. The SuperGlide uses a Bioflex 2 core composed of 70% Aspen and 30% Paulownia for reduced swing weight and added performance.
