Waterproofing + BreathabilityFully sealed seams with HyVent 2.5L fabric with Flash Dry Laminate technology (20K waterproof/750-800 g/m breathability over 24 hours). HyVent technology is exclusive to North Face apparel. This technology utilizes a polyurethane coating that consists of a tri-component multilayer structure for waterproof protection, breathability, and durability. Flash Dry Laminate is an ultra-breathable, 100% waterproof laminate that uses a three-dimentional micropore layer of active particles to exponentially increase surface area, allowing moisture to rapidly spread out and pass through the hydrophilic membrane. This dramatically accelerates drying time. Moisture is released through the membrane in both liquid and vapor states, enabling the user to feel less clammy and more comfortable. Flash Dry never washes or wears out.
