Salomon Origins Lava Ski + EL9 B80 Ski Binding 2013

Salomon has stepped it up for the Women's Origins all-mountain series. The Origins Lava combines all-terrain rocker with a slew of women's specific technologies to make this ski the ultimate on and off-piste must have. The Women's stance foward mounted binding position is adapted to women's biomechanics for assistance in turn initiation for beginners, and fine tuning for more exprienced skiers. A single layer of titanium reinforces the edge grip, while a rubber Pulse Pad along the edges and in certain zones of the ski makes for a smoother ride.

Construction + Core

Composite core is a combination of fibers that reduce the weight of the ski and make it more forgiving for the intermediate skier. The double monocoque construction is a double layer of fibers that give the ski maximum response and solid edge hold. The Powerline W shock absorbing system is integrated into the ski to reduce vibrations at high speed or in bumpy terrain to reduce skier fatigue.

Shape + Flex

All Terrain Rocker means single rocker shape in the tip, medium length, and low height which enables terrain absorption and easy turn initiation. The M Body is a versatile ski chassis meant for 70% groomed and 30% off-piste skiing. This specific shape increases versatility, carviing ability, stability, and cruising ability in mixed and variable snow conditions. The intuitive tail is a semi-twin tail that allows for easy turn release for more control.
