The urethane topsheet anchor has shearing layers which are essential to a board’s durability. When the outer areas of a snowboard flex there are opposing forces that stress the construction layers. In order to reduce that amount of internal force a softer layer can act as a shock absorber. This thin layer of URETHANE placed between more rigid materials allow the board to flex without the risk of failure during impact.

The OMEGA™ SPEED BASE is made with a new blend of compressed ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. Sintered for speed, this base is porous, absorbing more wax to wick longer and ride faster. And by fast, we mean – FAAAAST. Plus 360 deg full stainless stell edges.

Construction + Core
Engineered specifically for our flagship model, this new core is a shining example of our Space Age technical supremacy. Designed using high yield materials, the HOVER CORE™ is so light it essen essentially floats across the snow. Thin cut low density Paulownia strips are combined with Poplar beams to create a unique ply configuration. The result is an energetic core that is extremely light and strong with excellent dampening properties. Paired with The DYNAWEAVE configuration features a resin/glass application borrowed from the marine industry, which yields much stronger and more rigid qualities allowing us to decrease the wood core thickness. The main focus is to save wood core weight by increasing resin performance. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return. This new weave fiberglass combination features Triax glass on the top of the core and biax beneath, creating more response while increasing strength and durability. Combine this layup with one of the many additives we have available and you get a high performing board tailored to meet your style of riding.
Shape + Flex
With CAPiTAs Flat Kick design technology we’ve tightened the tip profile radius that blends the shoulders of the board into the tip and tail height on reverse camber boards. The tight tip radius in conjunction with tuned blend zones allows you to have a forgiving easy to ride reverse camber board that is still responsive and quick during edge-to-edge transitions. This also creates a flat tip and tail which increases jibbing stability and also helps the board plane on top of powder creating float and control.
