MOUNTAIN PROFILE:
The MOUNTAIN Profile features mid-body camber with a flat tail and a reverse cambered nose. This allows for tons of pop and stability on hard pack while increasing float and landing power, improving the rider’s performance in deep snow.
Construction + Core
Hover Core:
Engineered specifically for our flagship model, this new core is a shining example of our Space Age technical supremacy. Designed using high yield materials, the HOVER CORE™ is so light it essentially floats across the snow. Thin cut low density Paulownia strips are combined with 7 mm Poplar beams to create a unique ply configuration. The result is an energetic core that is extremely light and strong with excellent dampening properties.
Dynaweve Fiberglass:
The DYNAWEAVE™ configuration features Triaxial fiberglass on the top of the core and Biaxial fiberglass beneath, creating more response while increasing strength and durability. Combine this layup with a specialized resin and one of the many additives we have available and you get a high performing board tailored to meet your style of riding.
Nano-Carbon Forks:
NANO-CARBON technologies have been developed on an atomic level for applications ranging from Superyachts to Aerospace to Outer Space. Sound too tech for snowboarding? We don’t think so. Engineered with high performance Matrix Resin, these pressure molded 30 mm forks have a compressive strength 25% higher than the already incredible pre-cured carbon boosters.
Base + Edges
Urethane Topsheet Anchor:
Shearing layers are essential to a board’s durability. When the outer areas of a snowboard flex there are opposing forces that stress the construction layers. In order to reduce
that amount of internal force a softer layer can act as a shock absorber. This thin layer of URETHANE placed between more rigid materials allow the board to flex without the risk of failure during impact.
Nano-Carbon Race Base:
The Black Snowboard of Death isn’t technically a race board, but the loyal fans of this board live life in the fast lane. They charge hard, and for 2016/17 we have integrated the fastest, meanest base available. With exceptional anti-friction properties due to high moleclular mass and specialized processing aids, this is the material used to win World Cups and Olympic medals. Now, you can use it to leave your friends in the dust.
Blended Radial Sidecut:
Features a single radius arc through the midsection of the board combined with a custom designed blend zone at the contact points. Varying the length of these blend zones and tailoring them specifically for certain aspects of riding greatly improves a board’s performance.
