Patented Hybritech Construction:
Hybritech is the most efficient way to make a snowboard without sacrificing one ounce of performance. Featuring sidewall along the running surface that flows into the nose and tail providing low swing-weight, optimizing turn initiation, and durability.

W2 Core:
Three species of renewable wood are assembled to optimize strength, reduce weight, and enhance damping without the addition of other material

Biaxial Fiberglass:
The classic structure laminate, biax glass provides balanced all-purpose flex and performance.

4000 Sintered Base:
This is the fastest natural base material available. It is exceptionally durable and absorbs wax deep into the pores of the material to hold that well-waxed performance for as long as possible.

All-Terrain Baseline:
Designed for use anywhere on the mountain, All-Terrain Baseline allows for effortless turns on hard-pack but also provides ample float in softer snow or crud. Designed as a directional Baseline, AT has a medium rise through the tip and a lower rise in the tail. The perfect setup for the all-purpose rider.

Tweekend:
Continuous rocker function. By tweaking the ends of our boards, we have taken the industry-leading Baseline technology to the next level. By extending the Baseline rocker all the way out to the absolute ends of the board, new ride-able surface is unlocked, giving you a bigger, more stable platform to press, float and land on.

Length:
This new view of width directly impacts length. By shrinking the length as you go wider the quickness of a board increase. Imagine squashing a board shape made of clay. IT gets wider as you shorten it. This is effectively keeping the volume the same, just moving it under feet where you can push it around with less effort. It also gives you stability. So tuning the length along with the width results in a super stable yet vastly more maneuverable boards.

k2 has been at the forefront of the recent shape revolution and this year we are offering more exotic shapes than ever. These new, radical shapes are not there because they look cool or catch attention. We have spent countless hours refining every aspect of each design to maximize performance on all types of snow. This idea is not just for powder. At the center of this new shaping direction is the idea of Volume Shift. Now, we know technically it is surface area that we are playing with, but the word volume seems to sum it up more intuitively. It is a close cousin to the volume surfboard shapers play with in their boards. By shifting the volume around your feet the board glides and interacts with the snow in brand new ways.
