Since the launch and through all the redesigns, the Artifact positive camber ha been a team favorite for laying down style on urban terrain and dialing creative tricks on all the features in the park. The positive camber is the team choice for popping off lips and for popping out of a locked in trick. IT's no surprise that when a rider like Riley gaps onto a kink in his latest video part, it's the Artifact base you see.

Rider Style + Ability
Flex Rating: 4/10

Shape + Flex
Stay Positive Camber:
For the last 30 years of so, there have been a group of riders who demand positive camber to fuel their snowboarding. This group includes most team riders, shop owners, 100-day locals and many of us at Rome. The reason they demand positive camber is for the unmatched pop and response that it fives a snowboard. Whether you are railing turns, ollieing off the lip of a jump, or stomping a landing, many riders think there is no better shape to have under foot. Great for riding everything with power.

SkateCore Profiling:
To give some of our park boards the feel of turning a pair of skate trucks, we slightly thin the core profile between the feet and increase the core thickness under the bindings. The result is a board that tunes like a skate deck, but locks into tricks and pops like a snowboard.

Construction + Core
Regardless of the board's flex profile, we firmly believe that all snowboards should load up energy and release it dynamically. This is key for ollieing, transitioning from one turn to the next, and exiting rail tricks. We've innovated a menu of pop-enhancing technologies to inject all our boards with this kind of feel. Dad boards suck. Lively, responsive boards rule.

Stomp Core Matrix:
Zones of high-density wood are integrated into a body of responsive wood for added strength with pop.

StraightBiax Laminate:
90 degree fibers create a fun playful flrx perfect for cruising, lapping parks or ripping bowls.

HotRods Single Barrel:
A single rod in he centerline, this pattern adds ollie pop while letting the rest of the board flex normally.

Base + Edges
Quickrip sidecut:
Teamed up with our rocker boards, the goal with QuickRip Sidecut is to create a board that does two things: it needs to be nimble and maneuverable at slow speeds, and it also needs to be powerful and precise at high speeds. We achieve this by integrating two off-set sidecuts that create on sidecut zone in the nose, one between the feet, and one in the tail. Where the center section meets the other two sections, we have created Mid-Board contact points serve as the end of the running length at slow speeds, giving the board that fine-tuned control at slower speeds. They also serve as edge "bumps" that grip the snow and increase precise power at high speeds.

Rebound Sidewall:
For some of our park boards that take a lot of impact on features, we've developed a sidewall compound that is more elastic than traditional sidewalls. So you can land disaster more times without damaging your board.

Impact Base:
Our high-density design that stands up to the abuse of park and street snowboarding.
