Snowboarder Mag‘s February issue features the 2010-11 season’s picks for Rider of the Year as chosen by past winners & their peers. These guys (and girls) have become known for pushing the limits of snowboarding & making a lasting impression on the industry.
The following lineup of riders were voted in by a panel of over 40 judges including Dan Brisse, Gigi Rüf, Annie Boulanger, JP Walker, Danny Davis, Eddie Wall, Jamie Anderson & John Jackson. Team Vacation

Members of Salomon & Bonfire‘s team is headed our way in their 99′ Country Coach RV. As part of the Team Vacation tour, they’ll be making stops at Big Boulder Park on Wednesday Jan. 4th and hitting South at Mountain Creek on Thursday Jan. 5th. Jed Andersen, Bode Merrill, Louif Paradis, Harrison Gordon, Chris Carr & friends will be at both parks filming, hanging out, giving away free gear, and perhaps even sticking around to unwind with a beverage or 2 afterwards…

Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month

We’re only 4 days away from 2012 and January is officially Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month! LSSM started in 2007 to encourage current skiers & boarders to brush up on best practices, improve their skills & introduce newcomers to the world of snow sports. With the motto “Humans Were Never Meant to Hibernate”, the program encourages people of all ages to get active, get some fresh air and learn something new this winter.
The program currently reaches over 30 states, with members from government associations, industry media, resorts, product suppliers, retailers and more. It’s a great excuse to spread the passion of skiing & riding and improve your own level of ability too. All month long, resorts in our region are offering specials on lift tickets, beginner lessons and equipment rentals so it’s easier than ever to get started. Celebrate Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month & head to Hunter with us on the 14th!
