Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam at Mountain Creek – Jan. 28th, 2012

Thursday, January 26th, 2012

The Volcom PBRJ tour is back for the 2011- 2012 season! The tour is a amateur snowboard contest series. Instead of having three rails in a row, we have them side by side to create a rail zone. There are four divisions; 15 and under, 16 and over, Girls and Open (pro-am). The contest runs in a jam format so there are no scheduled runs. Each heat is 20 minutes and you have the option to hit each feature as many times as you want. The overall atmosphere is great. Jeff Arnold is a character as a judge and announcer. Everyone is a winner and they give competitors a free t-shirt and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Schedule:

• 9:00am – 10:00am – Registration

• 10:00am – 10:30am – Riders meeting

• 10:30am – 11:00am – Open practice

Stadium Sale Vacation Giveaways

Friday, December 9th, 2011

The Mount Everest Stadium Sale is the perfect place to gear up for the winter and also plan some trips for this season. And if you’re lucky, you could win 1 of 6 FREE vacations. Enter our stadium giveaways for a chance to ski/ride at a variety of resorts: Colorado, Lake Tahoe, Montana, Utah, Wyoming or California. Good Luck!

Big Sky Resort in Montana offers the Biggest Skiing in America. The mountain’s Moonlight Basin interconnect gives access to more skiing than anywhere else in the US: 5,532 skiable acres and 4,350 feet of vertical drop.  Check out their booth & you could be taking runs up to 6 miles long this winter!

Park City, Utah is home to the US Ski Team, Skullcandy, the 2002 Winter Olympics & 3 major ski resorts, each with their own draw. Park City Mountain has Olympic-caliber parks & courses, Canyons Resort is the largest in Utah and Deer Valley was ranked highest by SKI magazine for 5 years in a row. Can’t decide which you’d want to visit most? Win our giveaway & you won’t have to – enjoy a day at each & 4 nights lodging courtesy of the Park City Chamber.

There’s been quite a buzz about Squaw Valley going around lately…the home of the 1960 Winter Olympics has recently merged with Alpine Meadows & will soon be the 2nd largest ski resort in North America. Enter at our Giveaway table at the stadium and you & a friend can ride both resorts and get a good night’s sleep at the Squaw Valley Lodge.

Named Most Charming Resort by SKI Magazine, Telluride Ski Resort is “Unmatched in North America” for many reasons. Telluride is a great mountain for any age skier or boarders & lift lines are virtually non-existant. A good day on-snow is almost guaranteed; the mountain gets about 300 days of sunshine & more than 300 inches of snow a year. Win our drawing & you’ll be heading to the Mountain Lodge at Telluride to spend 2 days on the slopes.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is offering an epic winter getaway complete with 5 days of skiing or boarding, lodging at Snow King Resort & airfare on American Airlines. Located in Teton Village, WY the resort offers 2 mountains, 2500 acres of in-bounds terrain, tons of backcountry riding & is home to the only Burton Stash park in the Rockies. Keep your fingers crossed!

When you think of California, a ski resort might not be the 1st thing that comes to mind, let alone a resort with one of the longest seasons in North America. Mammoth Mountain is typically open from November to June, getting 400 inches of snow and more than 300 sunny days on average. Win our Mammoth giveaway and you’ll be skiing/riding for 2 days and staying at 9,000ft elevation in the Mammoth Mountain Inn.
