The New York Snowboarding Group is hosting their 4th Annual Gear Swap and Social Fundraiser this Sunday, November 11th from 1pm – 6pm. The swap will take place on the 9th floor at 166 Crosby Street (between Houston and Bleeker). Don’t miss out on the silent/live auctions on all types of gear, tons of raffle prizes (including snowboards and free lift tickets), and FREE beer provided by Long Trail.

This Wednesday, October 10th, Videograss’ new films “The Darkside” and “Enlighten” will drop the jaws of every spectator at Tammany Hall in NYC. Come to the Cakeshop this Friday Sept. 21st to see the new movie from Volcom IP2. Volcom riders traveled the globe filming “Individually Produced Parts” aka IP2s. Each rider’s segment is a mixture of their own personality, theme, and creativity. Featuring riding from: Curtis Ciszek, Jamie Lynn, Zac Marben, Bryan Iguchi, Bjorn Leines, Scott Blum, Seth Huot, Dan Brisse, Dyan Alito, and more.

Start the night off with the city’s only screening of Shred ‘em All and TB20 starting at 7pm at the Millennium Film Workshop. The HD Ski Film is the latest from Teton Gravity Research & athletes Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Dana Flahr, Dylan Hood, Todd Ligare, Dash Longe and Ian McIntosh will be stopping by to show their support — and party, obviously.

Burton’s Standing Sideways will making it’s NYC stop this Thursday 10/13 in SoHo. The flick is being shown at Santo’s Party House on Lafayette, with an athlete autograph session beforehand at the B‘s Flagship store featuring Jussi Oksanen, Terje Haakonsen, Mark Sollors, Kazu Kokubo, Ethan Deiss, Mikkel Bang, Jack Mitrani, Danny Davis, Mark McMorris and Mikey Rencz.
All-ages autograph session is from 6:30 – 7:30PM

This Friday and Saturday the SNOW Film Festival NYC will be hosted at Tribeca Cinemas down at the corner of Varick Street & Laight. The event’s presented by Skullcandy and will show 24 of the “latest and greatest International Ski & Snowboard Films” including documentaries, feature films, and independent videos.
If the chance to see some of the year’s best videos on the big screen isn’t enough for you, there will also be some world premieres, Q&A sessions with filmers and riders, an art expo, and panel discussions about both cinema and climate issues. So whether your an aspiring cinematographer, avid rider, art enthusiast, or activist looks like Tribeca’s the place to be this weekend…
General admission for each showing is $20, but if you buy online ahead of time and enter the code SFFRIEND10 you’ll get $5 off, courtesy of Skullcandy. The fest begins Friday night at 6pm and starts back up Saturday at 3:50pm so snag your tickets, your buddies and some popcorn!
This Saturday, the North America F* It tour moves on to Day 3 with simultaneous stops in Portland and NYC. Stevie Bell, Cameron Pierce, Jake Welch, Austen Sweetin, and Peter Line will be stopping by the Williamette Riverfront Warehouse over in Oregon, while over here on the left coast, Nic Suave, Pat Moore, John Jackson, Andreas Wiig, and Niko Cioffi will be busy f***ing up the Red Bull Space in SoHo.
F’ It is the 7th team-inspired film from Special Blend, Forum, and Foursquare and a shop-favorite here at EV. If you haven’t already seen it, the movie’s pretty much what you’d expect from the title: hilarious, inappropriate, and all-around badass. (If you’re already a fan, why not grab some of our gear from the F’ It Collection for this weekend….who knows, it might earn you special line-cutting privileges)
